The book I  am reading is I Survived The Attacks of September 11, 2001. The author is Lauren Tarshis.

I like this book because in the back it tells you some facts about the attacks of 9/11. When I read this book I was feeling so bad for the people in the two twin towers. The airports didn’t let planes take off or land for a day or two.

My connection is a text to self. In the book Uncle Benny loved football and so does my mom. She likes college football and I am sometimes in the room and start to watch it too if it is our favourite which is Oklahoma Sooners. She likes the team because she grew up in Sapulpa and tulsa Oklahoma.

The theme is survival because all of the books in the series have a disasters in them and at least someone survives in disasters. Another theme is where it takes place but all the books are about disasters in the USA none take place in Canada which is good.   

I am thinking that the disaster was a big thing all around the world. In the book it says that it was the biggest disaster in the USA.

If you like stories on the most serious disasters you should read this series. It comes in a set with 9 books. You can get I Survived the Nazi Attack separately.
