The book that I am reading this week is called Kick off by: Donna King. The book is about a girl named Tyra Fraser. Tyra moved from Florida to England. She now has to deal with an annoying younger sister that has major issues. The only good thing is that Tyra has the chance to play soccer on the school soccer team. The Fernbridge girls have not won a game yet. But if Tyra gets a chance to join the team she might help benefit the team to finally win a game. But one of Tyra’s teammates are determined to make sure she doesn’t score.

I connect to the part when Tyra had to move to a new school and she was very nervous. When I left my old school in Richmond and moved to Crofton in Vancouver I was very nervous. But then I realized it was actually the best school ever. I made new friends, got a new teacher, and I learned new things. But I was still very nervous the first day. But when I started getting used to it I realized that it was the right school for me. I realize how nervous and anxious Tyra felt going to a new school.

The theme of the book is that everyone should always do their best. Like Tyra she let nothing stop her she just went for it. Everyone should never let anything, or anyone stop them from doing and trying their best. Tyra always tried her best and eventually it payed off. So see if you push hard and try your best you will never let anything stop you no matter what. If it works for Tyra it should work for everyone else. Always try your best and never give up. Just like I tried my best in basketball I realized that it was really fun and I learned so much more about it.

I thought at the beginning that it wouldn’t be this interesting. But now I really got into the book and realized that it is a really good book. I recommend this book to someone that enjoys sports, action and some drama. I really started getting into the book in the middle because that’s where all the good, and interesting stuff happens. The characters also change towards the end. Some people get nicer and start to support Tyra. But I will not spoil it. Now the book is so much more interesting and I actually get what it is about.

I really enjoyed this book because it has tons of action, adventure and drama. I recommend this book someone who likes books with action, adventure and some drama. The cover looks just like how I imagined it. It has a girl kicking a soccer ball. It makes sense to put a soccer ball on the front because Tyra wants to play on the soccer team. How ironic?  All together I really enjoyed this book.
