blog post 3

I am currently reading The Missing Diary. The author is scholastics and so far this book is really good. It is about every one trying to get a good scoop for their newspaper and Colette has a diary that is private and Ruby Flash Fur stole it to get a good idea and Colette looks every where to find it.She is really worried on how she will get it back so her friends help her. While on the other hand Nicky and Paulina with 2 other boys are out to get a scoop. They watched the race between two mouses racing. The person who took the picture when they were head to head at the finish line changed spots as if the loser was the winner.

When Colette looks every where to find her missing diary it reminded me when I was panicking to find my french duotang so my dad found it under a pile of papers. I was so relieved when I found it because I thought I would get in huge trouble. My mom and sister helped look for it to. First my search started in my room, living room, study room, kitchen, family room, sisters room, and parents room. I rememberd the last time I used it was in the study room, so everyone looked there and then my dad found it! YAY!

The themes are stealing, newspaper due, gossip, competition, cheating, betrayal, getting lost, mean plots, crushes, speeches and punishments. Stealing because Ruby Flash Fur( sassy girl) stole the diary because she wanted to see what Colette wrote in her diary. Newspaper due because everyone is in a hassle to get it done. Gossip because Ruby turns all Colettte's ideas into real mean gossip. Competition because Ruby is part of the newspaper for the school but then she wants to be better then everyone else so she turns against them. Cheating because there is a race and this person cheats. Betrayal because Ruby sends one of her friends to go with Paulina and Pamela which is really a trick. Getting lost because after Ruby's friend tricks Paulina and Pamela she gives them a bad compass which causes them to get lost. Mean plots because Ruby is planning something really bad.Crushes because Pamela has a crush with this mouse. Speeches because Thea did a speech on being a great writer. Punishments because after Ruby get's punished for what she had done.

First, I thought the gossip that Ruby put in the article was what Colette actually wrote but later on I found out that Ruby changed it to seem mean. So Ruby took ideas from Colette's diary and also used the info that Thea gave to colette. I thought that was absolutely mean. I think Ruby should have got a more harsh punishment because in another book she does bad stuff and she didn't get punished! I wish she should have because she is always causing trouble!

This book was a Geronimo Stilton book except this one is the Mouseford Academy version. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and I hope you read this book. Check out the other book called" Drama at Mouseford". Thank you!
