Blog post 1

The book I am currently reading is Candy smash. Warning: If you have not read this book be aware that you may get a sneak peak of the book. The author is Jacqueline davies. I think so far that it is a very good book. This book is about a brother and a sister, Evan and Jessie who are having problems at school. Someone has been handing out candy hearts. Jessie has a due date for her newspaper for her class and she intends to finish it. Jessie says something in the cafeteria to one of her friends which makes Jessie’s friends mad at her, it also caused the boys at school to tease Evan which makes him mad at his sister.

In the book when Jessie is trying to find some clues for her newspaper in the classroom when she is not allowed to do ( because it is early) it reminded me when I was sneaking into my sister,s room to write a note when she comes back from camp. Luckily she did not find out. Yet my mom told her and she found out and I explained that I was being a good sister. She didn’t really listen. For those who do not know my sister (which most people know) her name is Carissa.

I believe that the themes of this book is teasing because the boys at evan’s school tease him about him liking a girl, crush because Megan wrote in the girls bathroom her initials with Evan’s in a heart, snooping because Jessie was snooping in the classroom really early, embarrassment because Evan and Megan are always embarrassed when they see each other, valentines day because Jessie is so frantic about a scoop and she uses valentines day as her scoop, surveys because Jessie hands out surveys to put them in her article.

When the grade 4 students all think it was mrs. Overton who had placed the candy hearts in the desks of the classroom but when I found out that it was Megan ( Jessie’s friend). I transformed my thoughts. Well I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and for those who have read this book, you should  read it again! If you have not read candy smash and you are reading my blog completely then you probably like to spoil the fun for yourself for reading. I hope you liked reading my post and keep reading books!

THANK YOU!
