Holes

Hello the book I am currently reading is Holes, by Louis Sachar. What I think of the book so far is that it is really good and it has a lot of mystery in it. Why I think it is a good book is because it has a lot of describing words. It talks about Camp Green Lake and what they do in Camp Green Lake. What they do in Camp Green Lake is they dig holes all day. How you get sent to Camp Green Lake is when you are a troubled kid and you are sent there to be taught a lesson.

A connection I have with this book is that in the book it talks about a really hot place. That made me think of when I was in a really hot in LA. and that made me understand how hot Stanley must have felt when he was digging the holes in the HOT, HOT, HOT sun, day after day after day. Another connection I made with the book, is when Stanley goes to Camp Green Lake. That made me remember when I went to Camp. That helped me understand how Stanley felt.

A theme of this book is hard work and digging, because every day they dig holes until the hole is five feet deep and five feet wide, also, Stanley does not know why he and the other kids are digging holes. Hot because they are in summer and they have to stand all day in the sun digging holes. Held captive, because each child is taken on a bus handcuffed to a seat on the bus so they can't move..

My transformed thought in the book Stanley is taken to this place where troubled kids are taken, because a famous person’s shoe fell on his head and hit him and sent him to camp because the shoe is worth 1 million dollars. At first I thought that his grandpa threw his shoe at him to get him framed. But really it was a burglar in a car driving away but the shoe fell out of the car and hit Stanley on the head and now the people think Stanley stole the shoe.

My last thoughts are will Stanley ever get back home to his mom and dad? Because Camp Green Lake might pretend to say they might take him back but really they keep him for the rest of his life there at Camp Green Lake? Why are they digging holes five feet deep and five feet wide?  I really recommend this book if you are looking for a book to read.  So, I hope you enjoyed my blog bye.
