When rump was teased about his name I totally related to that because having a name so similar to someone else's other people might get your name mixed up with hers. Sometimes it really irks me when my name keeps on getting mixed up and only the people who play with me often get my name right, sometimes even they get mixed up. Also, some boys at my public school thought it funny to give me the nickname 'Ellie Bellie'. After a while they actually thought my name was Ellie, meh.
I think one of the many theme's of this book is about payment, Rump (SPOILER ALERT) was cursed to say yes to anyone who offered even the smallest payment for his gold. He spins straw into gold (hint hint,) Another theme is Questions. Rump has so many unanswered questions like who his mother was but the biggest question was, WHAT WAS RUMP'S NAME??????
Will Opal survive the wrath of king Barf? Opal was left after she could not pay her debt (spinning straw into gold because she lied about her being able to do that) king barf will be furious to learn she can't actually spin straw into gold. Hopefully you'll read this retold fairytale story and LOVE IT!!!!
