This week I'm going to do my blog post on The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel. The Boundless is a really good book, and it is very suspenseful, and sometimes it can be a little bit scary. Anyway, I really think you should read it.
A connection I had with the book was a text to self connection. When Will wants to watch the circus and says that he will be there in the beginning of the book, but he doesn't make it, it reminded me of when I had a recital in grade one, and my friend said she would be there, but she didn't show up, I can relate to Maren's feelings when Will doesn't show up.
I think the three main themes of this book are trains, murderers, and sort of mystery. I think it's trains because the whole book is basically about trains. Also it's murderers because there are several people on the train who try to murder Will. It's sort of mystery because on the train, it is a mystery of what's in Cornelius Van Horne's funeral car.
A transformed thought I had was I'm the beginning, I thought that Mackie was a really nice person, but in the end, I realized that he was part of the brogan crew, which is kind of the "evil" crew. That really surprised me.
In conclusion, this book is a really good book, and I would recommend you read it! I think that you will definitely enjoy this book a lot.
