Boundless

This week I read a book called The Boundless is about A young boy named Will and how he has a very great adventure on the train.

My connection is that In this story Text/world when the last spike got driven in and also about the train .The reason is that in Social Studies we learnt about this and how it stretches all over Canada so their would be access from B.C. to The east. For the train Its Text/Text because in another book called spirit animals A girl called Abeke leaves on a boat and she says its like a floating city and in this book William describes the train the same way with everything you could imagine on it.                                                                              

The theme is trains and the railroad and magic because in this book  because it is all about them travelling on the the largest train ever and also their are all types of dangerouse and magical things from a old hag to a mermaid skeleton. The old hag is propbally the creepiest part one of the book because she persuades peoplle into jumping out of the trains and into the bogs.

My transformed thoughts are that before I thought this book would be boring and about the history of the railroad and stuff like that but when I read it I was really surprised by how exiting it was and Kenneth Oppel the author of this book added a lot of fiction like he described how the spike was gold encrusted with diamonds and how William got to put in the last spike.

In conclusion this book is fabulous and you should read it if you like fantasy books with history in them.
